AmeriPride Services is looking for a Chief Engineer to join our team!

This role is responsible for overall efficient branch equipment and physical plant and facility Ensure: standardized, safe, and efficient functioning / operation of all equipment, completion of required scheduled maintenance, correct operation of fresh water and waste water, and the building structure and capability as a production facility. Monitor plant and equipment levels and proactively adjusts to ensure output levels are met in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner to meet business needs. Builds and maintains positive working relationship with Branch Management team and keep them informed of maintained issues. Leverages resources of CRC Engineering team as needed to address and overcome engineering issues. This position is required to follow Company policies and legal requirements, including among other things; Statement of Business Ethics; equal opportunity; confidentiality/non-disclosure; and harassment-free, respectful, violence-free and drug-free workplace. Performs daily maintenance audits in plant – through observation - to ensure optimum production efficiency for all systems and equipment.

Overall Duties:

Sets and establishes maintenance schedule for production equipment that ensures timely equipment operation without disruption in production activities. Follows manufactures’’ guidelines for audit, review and upkeep of equipment.
Proactively intervenes when there are found issues with equipment or the facility. Seeks out efficient and timely resolution to issues. Communicates with branch management on resolution activities and timing.
Performs needed repairs in a safe and efficient manner to restore equipment or facility to operating conditions
Where needed, seeks out specialized expertise to complete needed repairs to the equipment or facility. Audits work and ensures operation of equipment is safe and up to standards.
Assists, overseas and coordinates new equipment installation and or removal. Ensures contracted work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Minimum Education/Experience
Two-year technical college degree or certificate in related discipline or equivalent business/work experience
Proficiency with standard calculator ability to complete simple measurements.
2 years experience managing a maintenance staff in an industrial facility.
Experience with having performed maintenance in an industrial setting.
Proved track record of increasing responsibility with documented business results.

Preferred Education Experience

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, yet willing and able to work effectively with ambiguous circumstances.
Demonstrated capability with competencies for the position.

Technical Qualifications

Given the technical nature of this job certain unique specific qualifications are expected at hire or to be obtained within first year of employment as specified by regulatory bodies of the city, country, state/Provence or federal government:

Must have knowledge of motor controls, A/C inverters, frequency drives and hazardous material handling and disposal procedures along with hydraulic and pneumatic repair skills.
Must have knowledge and ability to read and understand electrical codes, electronic drawings, schematics, diagrams, blue prints and equipment manuals.
Waste water permit (Class A). OR Willingness to obtain such permit within first year of employment.
Boilers License or Operating Permit
For the U.S. - Minimum of First-Class Engineer (Class B) State Boilers license (Class A preferred).– issued within last five years.
Knowledge and experience with: PLC’s and electro mechanical systems. Posting Priority
